Assessments & Referrals
NCADD provides full, multiaxial chemical dependency assessments, using DSM-IV classification and ASAM placement criteria. Our assessment protocols have been designed to meet all relevant treatment standards and are accepted by programs throughout the state.
Alcohol Screening and Assessment
NCADD screens and evaluates clients for other agencies within Southeast Alaska. A full assessment involves evaluating a wide array of health criteria and assigning a referral for the right types of testing, information, and treatment. NCADD will complete the assessment within the confines of presenting problems or previously diagnosed record indicators. The assessment will allow for planning of treatment and will indicate which level of treatment is recommended for each client. Diagnostic criteria will be referenced in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV), published by the American Psychiatric Association. NCADD staff use the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-9-CM) medical coding system. Assessments must be scheduled by appointment. Please contact us for scheduling.
